Worms World Party Remastered: Custom Missions 159 & 160 - Battle on Rocks & Battle against Orochi X
0:00 Mission 159: Battle on Rocks
Introduction: "Evil team, we really need you this time to stop both Kiyomori and Killburn before the Orochi revival will be complete. You head with us to the rocks" - ShingerZero
Same as other AI vs AI missions, however there's no second version this time because this is a battle right before the last mission of the 2nd campaign. Map is sort of okay but it happens a bit too quick at start, at least it doesn't take too long like some other maps with AI.

Final mission of the 2nd pack/campaign. First of all, it's sort of fort-wise but it's also not. Second, there's all 8 vs 8 worms like how it was originally. Third, this is less impressive mission as the final mission of the first pack/campaign cause the general idea is to get some worms drown and you also need to get additional advantage from that. Doing so will let you rush near the end as i showed it, the problem i had is that i was 2 turns off because of not having enough damage to the last worm from red team, but i still gave a win to the blue team so it would be a good ending for them as they're coalition.
Red team should contain Orochi X, Da Ji, Masamune, Keiji, Himiko, while Blue team - ShingerZero, Tadataksu Honda, Lu Bu. These should explain more why those worms got more health - 1st and 4th worms from red team are strong characters, same for blue team where 1st, 2nd and 3rd worms has more hp.
Honestly.. it's not a bad mission overall despite not providing much, Orochi X/1st worm is probably the only big threat here. You can notice how weak was defense of blue team when only first worm remained, so it was a choice to either rush to the red worm or continue and get a risk to be killed.
The 2nd pack/campaign in general isn't the best i must say, since the story of the first Warriors Orochi sort of happened here - blue team got better with weapons, but it hurted some missions as a result. There's also more AI vs AI missions for the same result, but those aren't too bad overall if you get someone to play as i said multiple times. But sometime these or missions purely against yourself with fair versus conditions aren't that fun in solo playthrough. There are certain missions that i tried to make unique however, but recycling those too much would make them repetitive instead and i didn't want to do that too. The limitation from 1st pack/campaign a bit hurted this pack and i admit it.
I still want to bring an end to the Orochi story however (sort of), giving that i stopped hoping on getting another worms game where i could show any of my creation. I would like to create missions for the 3rd pack without any restrictions there this time and mark the end of that story as well as mission creation, however those also gonna get some bonus missions but those won't follow story, those more misc stuff to show the potential of the worms editor. We'll see what i could do there, but for now i'll take some break before proceeding.

That Mechanic Cat was literally the hardest boss.
So I've learned something interesting many years later about this gem. Apparently, the reason why this gem does not spawn in Hard Mode, is simply because THAT gem turns into an enemy. In easy mode, it has its spawn point, but because the enemy's gem is above the void, it doesnt have a logical spawn point for it. Since spyro games operate that "if gem falls off into the void, give it to spyro directly" is exactly whats happening when go near the gem's "technical" spawn radius. And ironically, it happens to be a cloud that's RIGHT above the location when you get out of the sub-area with sun seeds. So, yeah, that blue gem is right on that cloud there, due to the mistake of the devs. I recall having issue with getting that 5 gem in the past. I was wondering, "how did I miss a 5?!".
I can only add the fact that THAT gem is probably not the case for anti-piracy measures toward gems so far either. I messed around earlier this year to learn how every trap works toward player and even 100% this level on easy mode, only to find out it never traps player on midday garden (it happened in evening lake however), while clearly being a kid back in a day - i always got the gem issue by reaching midday garden. Many of traps dev put contains 3 minute triggers, while gem has something way more specific conditions. Sadly the gem issue still remains in mystery as i never found out those conditions for gems or how it even damages savefile once and can't be reverted with normal version of the game. I'll probably upload newer videos this year to fit the mark that it's year of the dragon and to finish anti-piracy quest for this game, just no date yet.
@@ShingerZero Yeah that 5 gem in Cloud Spires has nothing to do with the anti-piracy. Its just an honest dev mistake. It just so happens you were forced to play on hard mode simply because you needed to skip moneybags and as soon as you exit the sub-area, you get the gem. Considering how many gems are in the game, im not surprised that these arent documented at all. Hence why in this playthrough, it was easier to just avoid them entirely. Ngl, I would love to see an update of these someday in the future from you. Wonder how deep the rabbit hole goes with this anti-piracy version of Spyro.
@@deoxysandmew2162 You don't really need hard mode to even skip the gem, you just can't enter the sun seeds area at all + it requires to do much harder skip as well. I just never bothered to keep going back in a day. I think the harder skip is used for any% in speedrunning cause you save time by not going to the portal, but the again, it's quite easy to fail. Yeah, i personally prefer when it's documented too, but the thing is that i barely saw anyone even bothering beating the game with anti-piracy traps enabled. In fact, many people still don't know that you can beat it, nor many people spread the news about it either. But look into it another way - it's a challenge if you know the game, isn't it? Then it's still doesn't make much sense why noone else over these years never bothered to record this version. This and level storage glitch in Spyro Reignited with the reason above is why i don't bother with Spyro recently by much.
@@ShingerZero So there is another skip huh?! Interesting. Judging by your comment however, seems like its still better off just putting in Hard Mode code and just do the original skip. Less hassle. I also wondered why on earth it wasnt covered by other people. If anything, they cover it, but the in the end fail, given they play like its normal version of the game. Hence why they WOULD fail. The anti-piracy booby traps are the way they are by design. If you play normal, you will get stuck or send back. This is legit a challenge for masters if you think Spyro was too easy type of people. I've been saying since you have made these series of videos. Understandable on your last point. We all get hit by a certain burnout and we dont typically look back. I know something about it... What I do, is revisit certain classics on UA-cam and this series ALWAYS pops to my mind when I talk about Anti-Piracy of Spyro 3.
@@deoxysandmew2162 yeah, if you want to get easier skip - the hard mode is your friend. Otherwise you have to do harder skip (which is directly to the sun seeds area), constantly avoid 5 gem and you can't enter sun seeds area too. People don't really want to get revenge on that version. And i'm not saying everyone should do, but if you willing to replay the game - then why not give it a try on anti-piracy once again. The same case why i never succeeded in getting more people running with speedway movement during whole games in reignited. It's harder and more unique in both cases, but no - for reignited i even ended up being ultimately alone on few leaderboards on speedrun.com, with 337% being the most noticable. And yet you COULD do 1 run and submit it for a free place on leaderboard, but no - people do 337% NMS instead. I'll never see logic behind it, and there's little point in me continuing to try like that if noone gonna speedrun with unique movement (even og didn't have that glitch before). See? Same case here in anti-piracy. True, it's why i took the deep break last time. The speedrunning community seem to be having issues as well when you reach the mod part. Something i also couldn't withstand anymore after dealing with it for 3 years. Same here, i like revisit favourite games too, and suprisingly in speedrunning i also enjoyed 3 a bit more over other 2 games. I guess childhood (and anti-piracy) hitted hardly enough.

Holy heck, this looks so stressfull. I struggle to tell the difference between green-orange and purple-light blue as well without looking really closely.
On a top of that, the level path is much harder than the Temple of Osiris from Luxor 1/Wrath of Set. And i used to think i didn't meet harder level than this one.
@@ShingerZeroI'm just going through all the games on expert for the first time. Luxor didn't have different difficulties and AR didn't have the 2 new colours. For Luxor 2, once orange appeared in Stage 7, I started losing lives after that long streak. Light blue is going to ruin me.
@@MaccamatBux i think Luxor HD should have difficulty option. I didn't reach that version yet but the last time i could barely play 5th passage given how that game ruined Luxor. As for colors, you aren't alone. I game overed several times when all colored where there, had to alt+f4 (close the game) to not lose a life to at least get further. Probably the only way on how you can beat Luxor 2 unless your skills are insane.
@@ShingerZero Oh does Luxor HD not have difficulties either? I think it might but I honestly can't remember. Yeah, it doesn't help that I'm slightly colourblind so if I'm not directly looking I mix colours up with similar shades. Yeah 5th passage is terrible. Every level is so slow, it's such a drag to get through and just reuses old levels. It's way too easy.
@@MaccamatBux original game didn't have for sure but HD should have instead, i think i saw it on HD during walkthrough being a thing. They either added it later or just somewhat ripped from the Wrath of Set (compilation of Luxor 1 and Amur Rising). For colorblind part you could probably try to turn on high contrast or so for a little help. Not sure if it's available In-game but maybe via 3rd party methods

The Pan is such a busted weapon; it hits harder than dynamite and is on par with the ironing board/freezer.
Or you can also abuse a trap in washing room, which along with Pan granted me 17:37 a while ago

If you mean triple damage - It's important to stand while attacking, and then moving to the direction Tom will take. You might not get it all the time though, depends on your actions as well as where Tom will go.

God this was satisfying, why do you get rid of level storage for Beastmakers?
There are certain enemies that can't be defeated with supercharge - the value for some reason is different than it's supposed to be. Same thing happens for certain enemies in the game too. Tree tops is a different example however. Low height cap makes it either very hard or impossible to proceed, so it's not really viable to beat whole level there too.

Which part do you struggle with? Also you need to have at least PS4 Slim or Pro (Xbox or PC both fine) to have it work, having too slow loads where it also adds difficulty.
Why didn't you collect the gem in cloud spires when you got the egg
Collecting any gem before reaching Midnight Mountain would activate the trigger that would cause to despawn gems randomly later. I had to reload savestate there just to be sure i don't get any.

What's NMS?
No Major Skips. There's a big glitch called Level Storage that allows to use superflight and supercharge abilities in any level (you can see a timer in those levels from flights & speedways), so the 337% have 2 versions - unrestricted one (where you can do anything during run) and the normal one (where you have to use regular Spyro movement.
Isn't it a lot faster if u 100% the levels u entered first time?
I'm not the most well-versed on the tricks in the Reignited Trilogy, but for Spyro 2 and 3, it's possible they removed some of the exploits used in the OG games, like how using the Flight Portal outside in Glimmer could just barely make it to the section you normally need the ladder-climbing skill to access.
Stored abilities save around 10% of time rather than doing it fully in one go. Might seem a bit weird for Spyro 2 (and Beast Makers Homeworld in Spyro 1) but in reality you have much more freedom for your own movement. Going for these abilities is always faster and always will be. Mastering it is another question.

@@Sea_Leon that's what should be done for sure, but sometime it's a little too much efforts for me :/ i decided to instead just specify the date of achieved wr, wherever it's still wr or not can be checked on speedrun.com. Many people still keep wr in their title while it's far outdated, so the date is the way to make it better. Obviously if i get only pb and not wr by that time then i won't specify that in title.

So how does the glitch in Charmed Ridge triggers? Is there also a luck factor? I followed your videos step by step but this bug won't trigger.
It might be also longer than 3-5 mins, and that time should be during main part of level without any pause. I think i once triggered it in sub-area tho, but not sure here. Waiting in main level works 100% as long as it's good amount.
